Born from a firsthand experience
Pass it Forward Armenia began with a single trip. Through AGBU's Discover Armenia volunteer program, our founder traveled to Armenia and encountered something he couldn't ignore — villages and schools filled with eager young people who had almost no access to sports infrastructure.
He met refugees from nearby conflicts who had been displaced into Armenia. He helped build a community center. He connected with kids whose passion for the game was clear — but who had no balls, no hoops, and no equipment.
He came home to New York with one clear mission: bring something back.
What we believe
Basketball is a universal language. We use it to build connections between Armenian youth and the diaspora community that cares about them.
Cultural pride means nothing without action. We believe Armenian-Americans have both the opportunity and the responsibility to invest in Armenia.
We deliver everything by hand. Donors know exactly where their money goes — because we're the ones carrying it there.

Fundraise
Through donation page, Armenian community networks, church outreach, and grassroots campaigns in New York City, we raise funds entirely from people who believe in the mission.
Travel
In August 2026, our team travels to Armenia. Using existing contacts through AGBU, we identify 3–4 schools in underserved communities with the greatest need.
Deliver
We hand-deliver basketballs, hoops, jerseys, and direct cash donations to each school — and spend real time with the students who receive them.

Armen Azadian
Founder & Executive Director
Armen is a New York City–based Armenian-American with deep roots in the Armenian community. Fluent in both English and Armenian, he has been an active member of the Armenian diaspora his entire life — through his church, cultural organizations, and community service.
A four-year basketball captain with All-League honors, Armen combines his love for the game with a genuine connection to Armenia. After volunteering in Armenia through AGBU's Discover Armenia program — where he helped build a community center and met displaced refugees — he returned home determined to create something lasting.
Pass it Forward Armenia is the result: a charity that channels diaspora energy into direct, meaningful action for Armenian youth.
